We have been working on a membership section for some time, and as soon as this is complete details will be published in our PD Journal and online. The details listed below answer most questions.
Being a member of the UK College of Personal Development tells others that you are serious about your personal and professional growth. UKCPD is a growing organisation and being a member means that you can contribute to the future of the college in a very real way. The College Board encourages feedback from all its students and members.

The use of the MCPD affix
This is the way the general public, employers and corporate organizations can recognise a Member’s professional status. It demonstrates to those purchasing Coaching, Training etc commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards, to delivering the best level of service and that you are actively involved in the continuous development of your knowledge, skills and understanding of the industry.
Access to the College Library
All Members of the College are entitled to use the library for loan or reference. The Library is continually growing and contains books on NLP, Coaching, Therapy, Personal Growth, Journals, CD’s, DVD’s etc. As a Member you may borrow up to three volumes at a time, for a period of four weeks.
Professional Development Journal . (currently E-Newsletter)
The College’s PD Journal is distributed to Members on a bimonthly basis. The newsletter contains news, updates, interesting articles and motivational quotations.
Higher Qualifications
Members who want to extend or enhance their professional development benefit from generous discounts on future training programs. Members are invited to be assistants on Practitioner programs and speak at our Peer Review meetings. In addition to this, UKCPD are working with higher education establishments on our programs being accredited for University Credits and the Institute of Leadership and Management and a postgraduate qualification.
Professional Support
We support you by responding to your questions about your NLP/Coaching practice. The college is here to help you be as successful as you can be. We help by answering questions, signposting you towards relevant information and sharing best practice where needed (insurance, advertising, networking etc).

Peer Review / Practice Group / Supervision.
UKCPD is fully committed to your development. The UKCPD sponsored Practice Group includes a Peer Review, Supervision for coaches and Hypnotherapists. The evening is open to all levels of experience and we encourage a sharing of information and professional experience. The sessions are both practical and thought provoking. We occasionally have guest speakers deliver short training programs on a wide verity of topics.

Client Referral System
UKCPD operates a client referral system (Coaching / NLP Practitioner) based on member location and skill and experience. This system operates on the principle of what’s best for the client. We endeavour to match clients with the best practitioner for the clients presenting issue and desired outcome. This system is run by MBS Coaching on behalf of UKCPD. (MBS Coaching is the commercial division of UKCPD). (ask for further details)
FAQ’s
How do I become a member of UKCPD?
Currently, membership is given to students that successfully complete our NLP Practitioner & Coaching program. Additionally, membership can be applied for by completing a membership request form (there is a minimum level of training, education and experience requirement for membership, details with application form). The current fee for membership is £100.00.
How often do I need to renew my membership?
Currently there is no annual retention fee. This may change as the college grows and additional benefits are added.
Who sits on the College Board, and what do they do?
Currently, the college board are those that were instrumental in creating UKCPD. They support the various roles such as, quality control in training, curriculum content and development, student interviews, scholarship selection, professional relationships (ANLP, AC, ILM etc), UKCPD promotion, accounts etc.
